New Orleans Dance Academy

THE ACADEMY

The New Orleans Dance Academy was founded by Jacqueline Fry, formerly a leading dancer with Ballet Hysell, New Orleans Ballet Foundation, the Crescent City Ballet and the NORD Ballet. Acting as artistic advisors were Valerie Smith Concha, soloist with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and founder of the New Orleans Ballet Foundation, and Wayne Soulant, BFA, MFA in Dance and artistic director of Ballet Metropolitan in Columbus Ohio.

The Academy opened in 1990 at 5956 Magazine Street in the heart of Uptown near Audubon Park.
